An alternate take on the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which was first published in 1900, Wicked is a musical based on Gregory Maguire’s book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Following the tale of two student witches, Elphaba and Glinda, who form a friendship at Shiz University, it has become one of the most enduring musicals of modern times, standing as the West End’s eighth longest running show.
